Sandbanks Road is a partial demolition and rebuild of an existing dwelling located within the prestigious area of Sandbanks, Poole. The intention of the project was to completely modernise the property, bringing it in line with the contemporary Sandbanks vernacular, along with increasing the size of the dwelling to match the growing houses in the surrounding area.

Our design looked to take advantage of sea views with a second floor. The flat roof and parapet helped achieve these views whilst keeping the ridge height as existing, which is something the Local Authority would be keen to keep. The dwelling has been increased in size by almost 50% with, with 5 bedrooms, a study, large living, kitchen and dining and ‘penthouse’ master bedroom with en-suite and snug.

The project has recently been submitted for planning and we are eagerly awaiting the results.
